21 ¿Fuiste llamado siendo esclavo?
Today i was in prison
What is the price of freedom?
Apparently none when we are outside, so we take it for granted, we rose up, we take a bath, we wear clean clothes, sometimes it is difficult to leave the bed, no matter how new or old, it is our bed, our house, is our free environment, we do not question if we are o we are not free, we take it for granted and go out.
Today i was in prison, accompanying 6 brave women that gave them food, brought them some personal hygiene articles, but above all they shared a message of hope and love.
It is not a judgment day, is a day that God has prepared for them and for us, a day that can make a big difference between others days.
Maybe, at the time you are reading this you are not in a prison full of bars, but there are prisons that can be more terrible like: loneliness, resentment, any addiction, the lack of love, fear, you may not even smell urine and dirt as in these cells, you do not suffer a lack of food, but you´re living a situation as a prisoner, to which you already habituate, like the rope and the stake of an elephant circus, which still is an animal with sufficient strength to rip them off, but also the stake is sufficient to maintain it as a prisioner
It´s strength vanished so it cannot fight and get ahead, it is adjusting to be a slave of it´s situation, now accepts it as part of himself, so is a man who keeps itself a slave, you eventually forget that at one time you were free.
1Co 7:21 Were you called as a slave? Do not worry about it. But if indeed you are able to be free, make the most of the opportunity.
1Co 7:22 For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord's freedman. In the same way, the one who was called as a free person is Christ's slave.
1Co 7:23 You were bought with a price. Do not become slaves of men.
I had the opportunity to speak with almost all in a personal way, and no one told me that he was guilty, some told me that it was bad luck, I saw young people aged 19 and men of almost 50, I huged them in the name of Jesus and noted them shyness to such displays of affection, but none of them refused, we all have a huge need to be loved, and they are not an exception.
If you know someone in this situation tell them that Jesus Christ wants and can liberate them, They just need to tell God with faith: that they want Him to live into their heart, to be pardoned for their sins, and to give them a new way of living.
Luk 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed,
Luk 4:19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
TO freedom we have been called, but the word of the Lord warns us to use it properly
1Co 8:9 But be careful that this liberty of yours does not become a hindrance to the weak.
Gal 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.
Brothers and friends, thank the Lord for this freedom we have.
